Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Catholic Celtics vs. Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan

The Providence Catholic Celtics will face off against the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Providence Catholic comes in on four and Chicago Mt. Carmel on three.

On Tuesday, Providence Catholic sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Marmion.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Providence Catholic got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Chicago Mt. Carmel beat Fenwick 2-0 on Tuesday.

Chicago Mt. Carmel's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. As for Providence Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 11-18.

Providence Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Chicago Mt. Carmel in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Celtics repeat their success, or do the Caravan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
