Mater Dei Catholic won the last time they faced St. Augustine and Jordan Dumaran did his part to make sure it happened again. The Crusaders managed a 33-28 win over the Saints on Friday for which the team can thank Dumaran, who rushed for 236 yards and four scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.4 rushing yards per game.

Despite the loss, St. Augustine still got an impressive performance from Paisios Polamalu, who rushed for 91 yards and one TD. An impressive showing, but Polamalu really ramped things up playing D: he forced one fumble, made 13 total tackles, and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception, both of which were returned for scores.

Mater Dei Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Augustine, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Mater Dei Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-0 win against Helix on the 26th. As for St. Augustine, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Madison at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Polamalu and Adrian Sola.
