Volleyball Recap: Lithonia Bulldogs vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

Lithonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Druid Hills Red Devils. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lithonia may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored two points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-2.

Druid Hills had a senior duo take command as Lucca Rodrigez-Pedraza had 11 aces and two assists and Caroline Rogers had nine aces. Rogers has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Sophia Florence was another key player, getting four aces and four assists.

Lithonia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Druid Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lithonia will venture away from home to challenge St. Pius X Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Druid Hills, they will head out to take on Landmark Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
