Softball Recap: Bowling Green Purples vs. Edmonson County Wildcats

After flying high against Warren Central last Thursday, Bowling Green came back down to earth. The Bowling Green Purples took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edmonson County Wildcats on Friday. Bowling Green has not had much luck with Edmonson County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Bowling Green saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nyah Perkins, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.

On Edmonson County's side, Julie Norris made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Norris has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Norris was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
