Game recap: Giles County High School Football Team wins against Lewis County

PULASKI, Tenn. - Giles County (Pulaski, Tenn.) put up 20 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 47-12 victory over Lewis County (Hohenwald, Tenn.).

The Bobcats were up 27-12 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Kenton Baker in the first quarter.

Nieco Walker and Baker ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Panthers. Walker scored two touchdowns on the ground and Baker added three as well.

Giles County went into the matchup giving up only 6.9 points per game. Lewis County's 12 points were well below its season average of 28.0 per game.

The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which LC took, 51-28.



The defeat comes as a step back for Lewis County, which notched a 33-28 victory over Marshall County in its previous outing.

Giles County (9-0) will play a AA District 12 game against Page next week, while Lewis County (5-4) will take on Spring Hill also in a AA District 12 game.
