Basketball Game Preview: Chagrin Falls Tigers vs. Streetsboro Rockets

The Chagrin Falls Tigers will take on the Streetsboro Rockets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chagrin Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.

Last Monday, Chagrin Falls ended the year with a bang, routing Berkshire 56-34.

Chagrin Falls' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brad Russell, who went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Curtiss, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

Chagrin Falls smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Streetsboro lost to Moon Area on the road by a 50-33 margin on Sunday. The game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Streetsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Chagrin Falls, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Chagrin Falls and Streetsboro were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but Chagrin Falls came up empty-handed after a 41-40 loss. Can Chagrin Falls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
