Volleyball Recap: Ludlowe Beats Staples for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Ludlowe waltzed into their contest on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Staples Wreckers by a score of 3-1. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wreckers, too.

While Ludlowe might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Staples scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-21.

Rebecca Karlsen paced Ludlowe's offense, picking up nine kills. Karlsen got some help from Sidney Ogilvie and her 25 assists.

Ludlowe's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Staples, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ludlowe will face off against rival Stamford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Staples is set to take on their familiar foe St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
