Softball Recap: Penn-Trafford Takes Down Red Land in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Penn-Trafford had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Red Land Patriots on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by just one run.

Penn-Trafford's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Red Land, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-4.

Coming up, Penn-Trafford will challenge West Allegheny on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Red Land does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
