Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. West Forsyth Titans

Glenn is 2-8 against West Forsyth since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Titans at 6:00 p.m. West Forsyth took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glenn, who comes in off a win.

Glenn not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26, 2024. They never let Northeast Guilford get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Tyler Goodin's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Glenn got a massive performance out of Brayden Winters, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Winters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dawson Clinard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Grimsley by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since March 21, 2024.

The win got Glenn back to even at 7-7. As for West Forsyth, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Glenn might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from West Forsyth when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
