Volleyball Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short on the Road Against Newberry

Interlachen had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Newberry Panthers. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Interlachen was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-11.

Newberry has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Interlachen will challenge rival Palatka at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Newberry is set to square off against their familiar foe Keystone Heights at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
