Draughn is  a perfect 7-0 against Avery County since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday.  In other batting news,  Jacob Mull was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Griffin Stephens, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while going 1-for-2.
 Avery County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Draughn, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
