Softball Recap: Medfield Triumphs

Medfield made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Natick, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors put the hurt on the Redhawks with a sharp 18-7 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Tess Baacke was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Currie, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5.

Medfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Medfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medfield will host Millis at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Natick, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Concord-Carlisle at 4:30 p.m.
