Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Comes Up Short

Greenbrier lost against Lakeside two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greenbrier Wolfpack received a blow as they fell 57-41 to the Lakeside Panthers. The matchup marked the Wolfpack's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Greenbrier lost, don't look at Nate Garstang. Despite the final result, he posted 23 points. The dominant performance gave Garstang a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Martez Ford, who earned eight points.

Michael Youngblood continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lakeside, putting up eight points and seven boards.

Greenbrier's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lakeside, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Greenbrier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-38 win against Effingham County on the 8th. As for Lakeside, they have also already played their next match, a 68-67 victory against Bradwell Institute on the 13th.
