With a playoff win on the line, Helias rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Hallsville Indians with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won 16 matches in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-7, 25-12.

Helias had a senior duo take command as Sophie Verslues had 15 digs and two assists and Liza Boyer had eight digs and two aces. Verslues has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Hallsville lost, don't look at Makenzie Lucas. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs.

Helias' record now sits at 33-1-1. As for Hallsville, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-12-3.

Coming up, Helias will venture away from home to challenge Winfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hallsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
