Baseball Recap: Fabens Victorious

Fabens was forced to take a big defeat against Clint on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Friday. The Wildcats walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Lions. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Lions on Tuesday, they had to take a 15-4 loss.

Ivan Luna made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Luna was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Fabens is undefeated when Luna posts two or more runs, but 6-11 otherwise.

Luna wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Javier Hernandez, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Fabens now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Clint, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11-1.
