Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy Extends Winning Streak to Seven

The Classical Academy had won six straight games and Ky Walker did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Classical Academy Titans really took it to the Sierra Stallions for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-33 victory thanks in part to Walker, who made all 11 shots he took for 25 points and three steals. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of AJ McFarlane, who posted three points and six assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in December of 2024.

The Classical Academy pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Sierra, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Coming up, The Classical Academy will challenge Peyton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Classical Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Peyton likes a good challenge. As for Sierra, they have already played their next contest, a 63-53 loss against Fountain Valley on the 15th.
