Baseball Recap: Mississinewa Victorious

Mississinewa was forced to take a big defeat against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Leo Lions 11-10. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Lions on Saturday, they had to take a 15-0 loss.

Leyton Stearns was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Baledge, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mississinewa now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Leo, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 18-3.

Coming up, Mississinewa will head out to face off against Frankton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
