Soccer Recap: Wood Takes a Loss

Wood managed to keep up with River City until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wood Wildcats came up short against the River City Raiders, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly three goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Manny Contreras, who's now up to three this season.

Wood's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8-3. As for River City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7-3.

Wood will be playing in front of their home fans against Rodriguez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wood is facing Rodriguez at the right time seeing as Rodriguez is stuck on a four-game losing streak. River City has already played their next game (against Vacaville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
