Softball Recap: Le Grand Bulldogs vs. Mariposa County Grizzlies
Le Grand put the finishing touches on their 15th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mariposa County Grizzlies as the Le Grand Bulldogs made off with a 13-3 win. Le Grand is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 14 straight.
Nadia Avila was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). Avila has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Avila was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
