Basketball Recap: Caroline Bane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakewood over Fairview + How To Watch

Lakewood lost against Fairview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers lost 46-23 to the Knights. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakewood's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Bane, who posted seven points along with ten boards and four steals. Bane is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Saylor Slaughter, who put up five points.

Chloe Hickory had a dynamite game For Fairview., dropping a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Hickory a new career-high. Rylee Bennett was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fairview, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will take on Summit in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Fairview, they will challenge Mountain Vista at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
