Volleyball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer lost against Mountain City Christian Academy on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mariners took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Mariners have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Homer will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Soldotna at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Barrow on the 30th.
