Soccer Recap: Antietam Takes a Loss

Antietam lost against Schuylkill Valley on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountaineers lost 4-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Antietam can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 529th, while Schuylkill Valley are ranked 137th).

Antietam is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12. As for Schuylkill Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antietam will welcome Kutztown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schuylkill Valley, they will challenge Wyomissing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
