Basketball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

If Lexington was feeling good fresh off their 55-26 takedown of Lindsay Lane Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lexington Golden Bears were dealt a 74-36 defeat at the hands of the Lauderdale County Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Tigers are ranked 13th).

Lexington's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Lauderdale County, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road.

Lexington will take on Rogers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lauderdale County, they and Ingomar will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Ingomar will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Lauderdale County surely won't give up without a fight.
