Baseball Game Preview: Baboquivari Warriors vs. Patagonia Lobos

Baboquivari has gone 8-2 against Patagonia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Lobos at 3:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Baboquivari came up short against San Manuel and fell 7-4. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. He has become a key player for Baboquivari: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Buendia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Patagonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against San Manuel, falling 17-1.

Baboquivari's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Patagonia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Baboquivari took their win against Patagonia in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 16-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
