Basketball Recap: Taloga Comes Up Short

The matchup between Taloga and Gracemont on Monday hardly resembled the 35-22 effort from their previous meeting. The Panthers fell 57-49 to the Lions. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Taloga now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gracemont, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Taloga will venture away from home to challenge Geary at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gracemont, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cement at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 69 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
