Carter Daniels Dazzles in Mountain Vista Victory

Carter Daniels was instrumental in extending Mountain Vista's winning streak to eight on Friday. Daniels turned in nothing short of a gem, making 25 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Mountain Vista pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Daniels and Mountain Vista will square off against Rock Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Blais Posts Huge Game in 49-6 Win

Jack Blais's big game helped extend Mountain Vista's winning streak to eight on Friday. Blais did his part (and then some), rushing for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.

If history really does repeat itself, Blais might just drop another big game when he faces off against Rock Canyon on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Blais saw the Jaguars), he rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry.

Cash Spence's Big Game Leads Valor Christian over Thunderridge

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Cash Spence stepped things up a notch to give Valor Christian the 'W'. ThunderRidge had no answer to Spence as he picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

For the year, Spence has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 81.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had two receiving touchdowns.

Austyn Modrzewski and Co. Win Eighth in a Row

Austyn Modrzewski was instrumental in extending Mountain Vista's winning streak to eight on Friday. Modrzewski did his part (and then some), throwing for 276 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 31 yards for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

If the past is any indication, Modrzewski could be in store for another big game when he takes on Rock Canyon on Friday. Modrzewski threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt the last time he and the Jaguars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Dawson Olk Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Valor Christian got the W thanks in part to Dawson Olk playing the best football he has all season. Olk threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

On the year, Olk has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 210.5 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 1.63 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 14.88 rushing yards.
