Baseball Recap: Modesto Christian Comes Up Short

Modesto Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Edison Vikings.

Teegan Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. James Brunn was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Modesto Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Edison, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Looking ahead, Modesto Christian will be playing at home against Waterford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Modesto Christian has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Edison, they will venture away from home to face off against Lathrop at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lathrop has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something Edison will no doubt try to take advantage of.
