Preview: Diller-Odell Griffin vs. Weeping Water Indians
The Diller-Odell Griffin will be playing at home against the Weeping Water Indians on Friday. Hopefully Diller-Odell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday.
Last Friday, Diller-Odell ended up a good deal behind Exeter-Milligan/Friend and lost 51-35.
Despite their defeat, Diller-Odell saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tj Vitosh, who scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. Cooper Morgan was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Weeping Water scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Cornerstone Christian School 68-24 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Weeping Water as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Diller-Odell has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Weeping Water, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Diller-Odell was able to grind out a solid victory over Weeping Water when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 48-38. Will Diller-Odell repeat their success, or does Weeping Water have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
