Volleyball Recap: Brewer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Brewer lost against Washington Academy back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Witches came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Witches have suffered since September 16th.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-11.

Sarah Snowdeal paced Brewer's offense, picking up three kills. Snowdeal got some help from Eve Pierson and her six assists. Pierson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Leading Washington Academy to victory were Lily Hennessey and Kellan Schwinn. Hennessey had 30 assists and three digs, while Schwinn hit 69.2% for nine kills and five aces and three digs. Hennessey is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 19 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Brewer and nudges their season record down to 8-4. As for Washington Academy, their record now sits at 12-0.

Brewer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Mount Desert Island on the 14th. As for Washington Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Woodland on the 14th.
