Volleyball Recap: Rockville Falls to Enfield in First Game of Season

Rockville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Enfield Eagles on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Rams have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.

Rockville's offense was headlined by Alex Angeli and Deniz Yagtu, who picked up four kills apiece. Yagtu also shared the team's lead in assists with Wesley Foo: they picked up seven each. Finally, Lucas Britney kept Rockville's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Enfield's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Rockville has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Hall on the 10th. As for Enfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Glastonbury on the 11th.
