Recap: Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks vs. Boca Raton Christian Blazers
The Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Boca Raton Christian, falling 56-26. Jordan Christian Prep has struggled against Boca Raton Christian recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Boca Raton Christian to victory were Joey Weber and Christian Anderson. Weber threw for 265 yards and five touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, while Anderson picked up 210 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Anderson's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards. Another player making a difference was Brady Wall, who picked up 40 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Christian Prep's loss was their fourth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-2 Indian Rocks Christian and 6-5 Saint Stephen's Episcopal (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Boca Raton Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
Jordan Christian Prep will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Saints Academy School at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Boca Raton Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Saint Stephen's Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
