Soccer Recap: Calhoun Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Trion

Trion typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Calhoun proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given Calhoun's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while Trion are ranked 108th).

Calhoun's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Trion, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2.

Calhoun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trion, they will square off against Fugees Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
