If Central Crossing was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of New Albany last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell just short of the Lincoln Lions by a score of 4-2 on Friday. The Comets' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Central Crossing saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Unrue, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Central Crossing's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Central Crossing is taking a road trip to face off against Grove City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln has already played their next matchup (against Centerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
