Baseball Recap: Weehawken Victorious

Weehawken let Manchester Regional stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Wednesday but luckily Weehawken prevailed anyway. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 9-8. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Weehawken and bumps their season record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Manchester Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Weehawken will face off against Hoboken at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redwings have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Manchester Regional, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Kennedy at 4:15 p.m.
