Basketball Preview: Hardin County Cougars vs. Cobden Appleknockers
Hardin County is 2-8 against the Appleknockers since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Hardin County Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cobden Appleknockers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 18 consecutive losses for Hardin County and four for the Appleknockers.
Last Monday, Hardin County was beaten by the Pirates 77-15. Hardin County has not had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Cobden had to suffer through a rough 58-13 loss at the hands of the Pirates. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cobden has scored all season.
Hardin County's defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Cobden, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
