Softball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

ROWVA/Williamsfield extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 10-15 in the process. They came up short against the Biggsville West Central Heat, falling 12-2. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Heat from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

As for Biggsville West Central, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 22-3. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.7 runs.

For Biggsville West Central's part, Miley Stimpson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 19 Ks. Stimpson has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Biggsville West Central got a big performance out of Addie Seitz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one double. Becca Hinshaw was another key player, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

While ROWVA/Williamsfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
