Football Recap: Upper Moreland Takes a Loss

If Upper Moreland was feeling good fresh off their 47-0 takedown of Lower Moreland last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears took a 35-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Interboro Buccaneers on Friday. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Momodu Rogers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 89 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 127 yards on only six passes for Interboro. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Rogers a new career-high. Mason Marshall-speights was another key rusher, rushing for 93 yards and one touchdown.

Upper Moreland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Interboro, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Moreland will challenge Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Interboro, they will face off against Wissahickon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
