Volleyball Recap: Greenbrier East Takes a Loss

Greenbrier East entered their game against Ripley on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2016.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13.

Regan Rink paced Greenbrier East's offense, picking up three kills. Rink got some help from Mackenna McClure and her six assists.

Greenbrier East's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-3. As for Ripley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-5.

Greenbrier East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Petersburg on the 20th. As for Ripley, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against PikeView on the 20th.
