Basketball Recap: Grace Christian School Falls Despite Big Games from Kalei Taylor and Madelyn Kennedy

Grace Christian School came up into this matchup off a tough 50-point loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors by a score of 33-30 on Tuesday. The Kings just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Grace Christian School's loss came despite strong showings from Madelyn Kennedy and Kalei Taylor. Kennedy posted nine points and three steals, while Taylor went 6 of 14 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds. Kennedy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Janaye Martinez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 boards for St. Michael the Archangel. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Martinez has scored at least a third of St. Michael the Archangel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jennifer Love-Villatoro, who scored ten points.

Grace Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season.
