Basketball Preview: McDonough Rams vs. North Point Eagles

Despite the defeat, McDonough had strong showings from Lexi Garrison, who scored ten points along with two steals, and Cailyn Samuel, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Samuel is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, North Point entered their tilt with the Raiders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. North Point snuck past the Raiders with a 45-40 victory on Saturday.
McDonough has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for North Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
McDonough took a serious blow against the Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 61-25. Can McDonough avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
