Basketball Recap: Nettleton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Nettleton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They snuck past the Stuttgart Ricebirds with a 64-59 victory on Monday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Ricebirds are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nettleton's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Stuttgart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nettleton will host Searcy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stuttgart, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Star City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuttgart is facing Star City at the right time seeing as Star City is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
