ISchool of Lewisville falls despite strong effort from Romiel Carter

Recap: iSchool of Lewisville Cougar vs. Orlando Christian Prep Warriors

After flying high against the White Hall Bulldogs last Saturday, the ISchool of Lewisville Cougar came back down to earth. ISchool of Lewisville took a 52-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Orlando Christian Prep on Friday. While losing is never fun, iSchool of Lewisville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 103rd in Texas, while Orlando Christian Prep is ranked second in Florida).

When it comes to explaining why iSchool of Lewisville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Romiel Carter. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. David Iweze was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Ameer Ramadan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Orlando Christian Prep, scoring 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Darius Washington, III, who scored 14 points.

ISchool of Lewisville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Orlando Christian Prep, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

ISchool of Lewisville will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Jackson North Side at 1:00 p.m. Jackson North Side knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully iSchool of Lewisville likes a good challenge. Orlando Christian Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th.
