Softball Game Preview: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Honesdale Hornets

Western Wayne hasn't had much luck against Honesdale recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Western Wayne fell victim to Holy Cross and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 11-0 to the Crusaders. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, Honesdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Old Forge, falling 18-3.

Western Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Honesdale, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Western Wayne couldn't quite get it done against Honesdale when the teams last played back in April as they fell 6-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
