Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Catonsville walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Towson Generals a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Catonsville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Towson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Catonsville will face off against Dulaney at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Towson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
