Baseball Recap: North Branch Vikings vs. Princeton Royal Tigers
North Branch had lost eight straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it nine. They fell 5-0 to the Princeton Royal Tigers. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 8-2 to the Royal Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
North Branch saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Pederson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.
As for Princeton, the victory was the seventh in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games.
On Princeton's side, the team relied heavily on Lukas Bratulich, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Peters, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
