Football Recap: Jacksonville Starts Season with Loss at Home

Jacksonville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 31-13 bruising from the Center Roughriders on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Although Jacksonville took the loss, they still got scores from Ja'Qualyn Holman and Ben Bolten.

Jeremy Bluford had an outrageously good game for Center as he rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Bluford really tore up the turf during one magnificent 99-yard run.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 34-27 loss against Brownsboro on the 5th. As for Center, they have also already played their next match, a 62-15 win against Spring Hill on the 5th.
