Basketball Recap: Izzy Mickelson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sparta over Onalaska

Sparta lost against Onalaska back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sparta Spartans lost to the Onalaska Hilltoppers at home by a 53-35 margin. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Izzy Mickelson, who posted six points. Another player making a difference was Tiana Leis, who earned ten points.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Onalaska, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Sparta will square off against Black River Falls at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Onalaska has already played their next game (against Wautoma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
