Basketball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Fairfield Falcons and fell 49-18. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the RedHawks of the 54-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Goshen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Amari Lind posted eight points along with seven boards and four steals. That was a full 44.4% of the RedHawks' points, marking the fourth time in a row Lind has put up more than a third of the team's points. Charlemagne Miller also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fairfield, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Goshen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-18 defeat against Westview on the 20th. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-48 loss against Northridge on the 18th.
