Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Paul VI's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Paul VI's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the South Shore Vikings by a score of 58-48. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 11th in New Jersey, while the Vikings are ranked 187th in New York), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paul VI is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for South Shore, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Paul VI will welcome Camden at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Camden will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Paul VI surely won't give up without a fight. South Shore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
