Baseball Recap: Marsh Valley Extends Home Winning Streak to 14

Marsh Valley waltzed into their game on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Kimberly Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in March.

Marsh Valley's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kimberly, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Marsh Valley will venture away from home to square off against Malad at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2, the Dragons 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Kimberly, they will host Gooding at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Senators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
